The island of Cres is well connected to the mainland whether directly or by the island of Krk. The traffic connections are the following:
The ferry connection Brestova-Porozina that connects Istria to Cres.
The ferry connection Zadar – Lošinj will lead you to Mali Lošinj from where you can reach Cres by two minor bridges. The bridge in Lošinj is closed for road traffic every day from 9:00 to 9:30 and from 18:00 to 18:30, while the bridge in Osor (the connection of Cres and Lošinj) is closed from 9:00 to 9:30 and from 17:00 to 17:30.

The bus lines go from Rijeka, Zagreb and Ljubljana to Cres, and their up to date schedule can be found on the web pages of the local company Autotrans.
The catamaran lines from Rijeka to Cres and Martinšćina, and further to Mali Lošinj, are run by the Krilo Carbo catamaran.
